Ingredients

  • 1 cup traditional oats
  • 3/4 cup almond butter
  • 5 tablespoons collagen powder
  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds
  • 2 tablespoons hemp seeds
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips (optional)
  • Water as needed

Directions

  1. With your hands, combine all ingredients except maple syrup and chocolate chips into a crumbly mixture.
  2. Add maple syrup and combine thoroughly.
  3. Add chocolate chips (if adding).
  4. With your hands, squeeze and roll the mixture into 1-2 inch balls. If the mixture is too crumbly, add water one teaspoon at a time until mixture holds together.
  5. Refrigerate until ready to eat.
  6. Makes 12-16 balls.

Notes:

  1. Other nut or seed butters can be substituted.
  2. Plant-based protein powder can be substituted.
